howto Finding free software
this is a simple howto find files, programs, software, etc;
I have done a lot of searching in my time. Finding alot of non-free sites that come up in free searchs. I had to find a way around that. So What I did was find new key words like open source and unpayed, but there are heaps out there.
To make life easier to surf the net. You should get firefox(rl)This has a user friendly interface. With a great tab option and addon option. Plus I have noticed that the web brouser is quick and fast. I am assume that you have installed firewalls(rl) and addware(rl) spy programs just in case.
Okay I'm going to try to do this in a step by step
Step one,
try not to use just one search engine, There's plenty of them out there. I have put a
couple in the topics links(tl.) Just to get you started. Now lets just start in google(tl)
Step two,
If you are looking for something and you know the name. Then click on the advance
search and write the word in the "with the exact phrase."Or just type, "word" This
will give you a better result, By adding open source, non payed, Free, more and
more links will dissappear meaning more of the right ones are left behind. Making
the search easier and quicker. Plus throw out the words you dont want to see by
putting it in the "without the words" Or type -word. words like cost and the symbol $
Step three,
Too refine the keywords, for example; adware would be refined like "free
Addware" -cost -$ -payments -pay -. Just by writing that formula. I have made the
search come down from 212,000 to 964. See how I used currect spelling as in the word add,
This is a must. (but not for finding warez and crack)
Step Four,
This is a good step and it seems to find me better programs everytime. But combinding the two options together. For example; {addware} to {"-adware" "addware" -$ -payments "-cost only"}
